As part of their ongoing commitment to AHPA, the ACPAC Special Interest Group (SIG) provides a yearly virtual webinar open to all AHPA members. This year, the ACPAC SIG is pleased to announce that Sameer Chunara will be presenting “AI and I. Life as a rheumatology allied health clinician in the age of technology.”

- Define artificial intelligence is (AI), what describe its capabilities.
- Explore current AI-driven applications in rheumatology.
- Discuss what the future state of AI in healthcare and/or rheumatology may look like.
Speaker Biography:
Sameer Chunara is an ACPAC-trained Physiotherapist who owns and practices in an outpatient ambulatory setting in Toronto. He received his Physiotherapy degree from McMaster University in Hamilton and his ACPAC certification in 2016. He sees a varied caseload of patients including patients who have been recently diagnosed with inflammatory disease, to those who have been living with the disease for decades.
Sameer has a special interest in the intersection of technology and health care delivery, with focused experience in the use of computer vision technology to remotely monitor patients with musculoskeletal disease. In the past, he has advised Nightingale AI, a startup whose goal was the sensorless, remote and digital automation of commonly-used functional outcome measures. He was closely involved in the ideation, execution and validation of the tools created by Nightingale AI.
